The Community Media Center (CMC) will be holding a series of Community Forums at Carroll County Public Library locations June 3 through June 8, 2013. The purpose is to reach out to the community to discover what topics are most important to Carroll County residents, what issues concern them most, and to hear their opinions on how the Community Media Center can use media, in all its forms, to help address those needs. (A complete schedule of Forum dates, times and locations is attached)
Results of the survey will be compiled into a report to the community in the fall of 2013. The information gathered from the surveys will also be used to help the Community Media Center develop a multi-year strategic plan that includes new programs and initiatives targeted to address the specific interests and needs of our local communities.
In addition, visitors to the Forums will be introduced to the Community Media Center’s dynamic new website which includes interactive features such as an online community calendar, video sharing capabilities, individual municipal pages and other user friendly resources. CMC representatives will demonstrate the new website features and answer any questions individuals may have about the Media Center, its programs and the many resources available to Carroll County citizens and organizations.
Residents are invited to share their insights and opinions about how the Community Media Center can use media to better serve Carroll County’s interests by filling out a brief survey at the library. The CMC has also made the survey available on their website at www.carrollmediacenter.org.
