Carroll Technology Council Scott M. Adelman Memorial Scholarship

Scott M. Adelman was a founding member, former board member and committee chair of the Carroll Technology Council, but more importantly, a friend and mentor to all of us.  He passed away on October 22, 2016 at the age of 53. As an organization, we are deeply saddened by this great loss. Scott was the Director of Sales and Marketing at Next Level Technology in Hunt Valley, and had served as a Board Member on both the Carroll Tech Council and Howard Tech Council as its business member representative. For many years, Scott was the organizer of the CTC’s weekly Roundtable lively discussions & meetings and met with our members regularly. He was the captain of NL Tech’s Golf Team and is the current defending three time champion of the CTC Open (our annual Golf Tournament).

The Carroll Technology Council has established the Scott Adelman Memorial Fund in his honor.  Proceeds from this fund will be awarded annually to a deserving student/Individual to use towards schooling, vocational activity or a camp with a technology focus.

The following criteria must be met for the Scott M. Adelman Memorial Scholarship:

  • Must attend a public elementary, middle or high school within the Carroll County Maryland.
  • Must write 300-word essay explaining why you should receive the Scott M. Adelman Memorial Scholarship and how it would assist you in attending schooling, vocational activity, or a camp with a technology focus.

All applications for the Scott M. Adelman Memorial Scholarship must be received by May 15, 2018. Incomplete applications or applications submitted after the deadline will not be eligible for awards.  Notification of committee’s decision will be made no later than June 3, 2018.
