The mission of the Carroll Digital Equity Coalition (CDEC) is to connect organizations and local governments, anchor and amplify digital inclusion in Carroll County, Maryland, and empower our communities towards digital equity. Through digital skills programming and resource creation, and collaboration with community based organizations, CDEC envisions our communities having access to digital tools, the ability to engage with them, and the perspective and approaches to use them to thrive.
Digital equity expands what is possible for individuals, families, and communities; democratizes access to information, education, and creation; and empowers people to shape how they will be influenced by technology. CDEC supports and connects community based organizations and partnerships to expand access to digital skills opportunities and address the needs that these partners are adept at addressing.
