October 8th – The Carroll Technology Council along with its Community Partners are hosting the Carroll County Broadband Symposium at Carroll Community College on October 8th from 6-9 PM.  This event features national and local broadband experts who will educate attendees about broadband initiatives and showcase Carroll’s broadband infrastructure.    This event is open to the public and business community.

“High speed broadband access is a fundamental business need in today’s global marketplace. The forum will highlight potential community impacts that will be advantages for businesses and residents alike” says Jonathan Weetman of Carroll County Economic Development.

Featured Speakers Include:

William Wallace – US Ignite

Blair Levin – Aspen Institute Communications & Society Program

J. Ed. Marston – Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce

Mark Ripper – Carroll County CIO

Jon Weetman – Carroll County Economic Development

“This symposium is the first public forum to showcase the public fiber infrastructure that will help to deliver high speed broadband services throughout Carroll County.   It will be a very enlightening evening with a lot of information from top notch sources” Wack states.

Doors open for heavy hour d’ourves, networking and demonstrations at 6:00 pm with the symposium kicking off at 6:45 pm.  Tickets  are $10.00 and are available until September 30th.    No tickets will be sold at the door!
