Level 1 AI Systems: Hermes Agent
In this engaging 6 hour class, you will learn how to use a powerful AI assistant called Hermes Agent. Unlike typical AI tools that reset after each conversation, Hermes features persistent memory, allowing it to retain your preferences, rules, and project details across sessions so you never have to start over. Think of it as a personal assistant that works for you around the clock.
You will be guided through setting up Hermes on a Virtual Private Server (VPS), an affordable cloud-based computer that enables continuous background automation. The course walks you through downloading and installing Hermes with a single, simple terminal command, and shows you how to interact with it easily from your computer or on the go via Discord or Telegram.
Along the way, you will explore Hermes’s most powerful features, including its four-layer memory system for storing information in simple text files, a skills system that allows it to learn new tasks from completed work, Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations for connecting external tools, the ability to deploy subagents that handle tasks in parallel, and scheduled “cron jobs” that automate routines—like scanning the news while you sleep.
The session will be encompass a 3-hour training, followed by 3-hours of case-study work, applying the training concepts. There will be a one-hour lunch break in between.
