CTIC Curriculum
CTIC teaches from a catalog of established and original curriculum, delivered in communities, workplaces, and partner organizations throughout Carroll County and beyond.
Developed in collaboration with the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, Smart Steps is CTIC’s own curriculum on fraud, scams, and protective practices. These interactive presentations cover how to protect your accounts with strong credentials, how to recognize modern scams and fraud tactics, and how to spot misleading content powered by artificial intelligence. Smart Steps sessions are designed to help residents stay safer online by providing tools and tips to build digital confidence, reduce risk, and stay one step ahead of scammers.

CTIC’s original workshop series on artificial intelligence — how it works, how to use it thoughtfully, and how to evaluate what it produces. As seen at Carroll County Public Libraries, Carroll Chamber of Commerce, CareerCatchers, Maryland Distance Learning Association Spring 2026 Conference Keynote, DMV Digital Navigators 2026 Conference, and Marriage and Relationship Education Center Winter 2026 “Unreal Relationships” roundtable.

Developed by Older Adults Technology Services (OATS) in partnership with AARP, Senior Planet offers evidence-based courses, workshops, and lectures designed for adults 60 and older. Topics span everyday device use, online safety, health and wellness, financial security, and staying connected.
